    Riso Office Copiers

Riso Office CopiersWith over a dozen major competitors in the Multi-functional Printer/Copier industry, there is a basic sameness among the products and models, except when it comes to products of the Riso Kagaku Corporation. Established in Tokyo, Japan, Riso Kagaku is the inventor, manufacturer, and distributor of the Riso Printer-Duplicator, also known as the Risograph.

Riso Business CopiersIn addition to the Riso Printer-Duplicator, Riso’s other product line, RISO high speed color inkjet printers, offer a combination of speed, economy, durability, and flexibility that can increase the effectiveness of an organization’s documents. Whether it’s a networked office or a high volume production environment, the ComColor inkjet printer can get the job done fast!

The speed at which a ComColor high speed printer can produce full color documents is truly amazing. At 150 ppm, the ComColor high volume full-color printer speeds through print jobs, and because this production printer is a no-heat, non-impact inkjet device, its reliability and uptime are superior to toner-based devices. Combine that with a small footprint, no special power requirements, and very low power consumption, and you have a high speed color inkjet printer that offers a rich feature set with an incredibly low total cost of ownership.

The founder of RISO, Noboru Hayama, chose the name of his company for a good reason. It’s Japanese for “ideal.” RISO strives to create fundamentally unique new technologies in paper-based communication through an approach that emphasizes productivity, cost containment, and versatility. Every product they manufacture delivers these benefits in a balance that offers the ideal solution to a customer’s duplication needs.

Used Riso CopiersSince RISO was founded in Tokyo in 1954, the company has thrived on creativity. RISO has repeatedly developed what they call the world’s best solutions to a variety of specialized sectors in document printing and duplicating. They are still the world leader in digital duplicating technology, and they are rapidly building their market share in digital laser and inkjet printing solutions for business. RISO products are now sold in over 150 countries.

Riso is a relatively compact, but highly profitable company.  It offers six models of the ComColor printer: from high end to low end, the Com Color 9050, 7050, 7010, 3050, 3010, and HC5500.  In its digital duplicator line, it also has six models: The MZ1090 Two-Color (high productivity, two-color, single pass, ledger-sized printing); the RZ1090 One-Color (World’s fastest ledger-sized digital duplicator); MZ790 Two-color (Two-color single pass, ledger-sized printing); EZ590 One-color (Feature-rich ledger-sized digital duplicator); EZ390 One-Color (Fast and affordable ledger-sized printing); EZ220 One-Color (Easy and economical legal-sized printing).

Riso’s  American headquarters is in Danvers, Massachusetts. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary in the U.S. as RISO’s tradition of innovation in both technology and service continues to fuel the expansion of their product line and their base of loyal customers.

Riso’s technology utilizes a heatless imaging system that requires no fusing during the printing process. This aspect, combined with a simple paper path, provides a highly reliable print device with much fewer paper jams or component failures. Riso printers boast a 98% up-time and last longer than most comparably priced toner-based devices.

All of RISO’s printers are environmentally friendly and emit no ozone, silica dust or toner particles, so no special compensatory cooling or ventilation is required. Using as little as 300 watts when running, and connectable to a standard 110v outlet, our printers are extremely power efficient as well.

As a pioneer and continuous innovator in ink-based print systems, RISO currently owns over 1,600 global patents that contribute to their printers’ productivity, versatility, and cost efficiency. They invest heavily in research and development and maintain strict control over their entire manufacturing process and supply chain management , thus ensuring the highest quality products for their customers. The imaging and inking systems in all of their printers are designed to work in harmony to produce the best possible output, while maximizing the yield of their consumables. RISO boasts dozens of industry “firsts” for both their digital duplicating and full-color inkjet printing technologies. The result has been many thousands of delighted customers, numerous independent awards from independent observers, and a solid reputation as a leader and innovator in the field of high-speed low-cost digital color printing and the best business copiers in the industry.

The RISO digital duplicator prints on a much broader range of media at speeds that cannot be matched by common office technology. The RISO digital duplicator (previously called the Risograph) is specifically designed to bridge the gap between copier and offset systems by handling run lengths that are too long for copiers or laser printers and too short for offset printers.

The RISO digital duplicator allows organizations to bring many outsourced print jobs in house for maximum control and cost containment resulting in economical, on-demand printing. And digital duplicators can handle print jobs ranging from everyday documents and business communications to more specialized applications like forms-on-demand, business cards, labels, and even paper bags. Some call this product a digital press and some call it a digital printer. Some long-timers still call it a Risograph. One thing for sure is that this product saves time and money!
